FAQ's
What should we bring to a swimming lesson?
Please bring a well-fitting swimsuit, towel, and a named water bottle for your child. Goggles and swim caps are optional but encouraged, especially as they move through the stages.
For preschool or toddler sessions, we also recommend swim nappies and a favourite toy or comfort item if it helps with confidence.
Can I watch my child during their lesson?
In most cases, parents can observe from designated viewing areas, though we ask you to stay quiet and avoid distracting your child.
For adult & baby / adult & child classes, parents are in the water with their child, so no separate viewing is needed.
What happens if we miss a class?
Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed group lessons unless the absence is due to a medical reason and we’re notified in advance.
For private lessons, please contact us as early as possible to discuss rescheduling. We’ll always do our best to be flexible when we can.
How do I know which class my child should be in?
We have a handy quiz under our course section – if you work through that you should be able to find out what class they fit in.
If you have any problems – don’t hesitate to reach out and we will do our best to help you out.
Are your instructors qualified and DBS checked?
Yes; all AquaBubbles instructors hold nationally recognised swim teaching qualifications and are fully DBS checked.
Our team is also trained in safeguarding, first aid, and early years swim development, so your child is in safe, experienced hands.
When should I arrive and where do I go once I get there?
Please arrive 10 minutes before your lesson time to allow for changing and getting settled. Late arrivals may not be able to join if the class has already started.
How do I book a lesson or secure a space?
To book onto a lesson – login to the class manager portal and you will be able to sign in, enrol and book onto your lessons.
What if my child is nervous or has had a bad experience in the water?
That’s completely okay, it’s actually very common! Our instructors are trained to work patiently with nervous swimmers and build trust at their own pace.
We recommend starting in a smaller or quieter class to help your child feel safe and supported while they grow their confidence.
